Digital x-ray diagnostics

X-ray technology is the core of orthopaedic diagnostics, providing the best imaging method to obtain an insight into bone structure, but this technology continues to improve. I have been using digital X-ray diagnostics in my surgery for quite some time because amongst other things it enables better image editing. Pictures of injured tissue or fine bone fissures can be effortlessly enlarged or highlighted, and wrong exposures are practically a thing of the past (thus reducing patients’ exposure to radiation). Digital image archiving allows files to be copied or sent to others easily and cheaply.
